Carol McIntyre
Sales Representative
Carol McIntyre has been a real estate professional in the Kitchener-Waterloo area for 26 years. A Toronto native, Carol came to Waterloo to attend university and, after acquiring a Masters degree and working as a teaching assistant at the University of Waterloo, she interrupted her PhD studies to pursue a career in real estate. With honesty and integrity being of utmost importance to her in business, she eschewed the stereotype of the salesperson and was determined to create her own niche.
She consistently achieved the highest performance levels within the Re/max organization including the “Hall of Fame” and “Lifetime Achievement” awards. Carol soon became a relocation specialist and, in that capacity, was instrumental in moving many bank and insurance executives into the area.
Raising a family in this marvelous community led her to serve on the boards of the KW Montessori School, the United Way and various other school committees and charitable foundations. With two of her children being involved in music and theatre, she also became a committed supporter of the local arts community.
Having a passion for architecture and design, Carol quickly began to take on staging and renovation projects for her clients. Her innate ability to see beyond the existing structure allowed her to help clients prepare their home for sale, as well as see the development potential of homes they were considering to purchase.
Over the years, as the team expanded, Carol was able to focus more of her attention on this aspect of the business, consistently creating an inviting atmosphere for potential buyers and realizing faster sales at higher prices for her sellers. She has acted as project manager and general contractor on a number of larger renovation projects that allowed the owners to recover their investment and achieve an optimum sale. She continues to offer design and decorating services to clients, beyond their sale or purchase.
Carol has many loyal clients who look to her for her expertise and honesty in real estate transactions. Her motto has always been that she wouldn’t sell anyone a property that she wouldn’t buy herself.
She looks forward to continuing to serve her past and future clients in all aspects of their real estate needs.
